Staged by the student-led Fredonia Performing Arts Company during the 2016 Spring Semester, Summer of ’42 is a musical adaptation of the original 1971 movie of the same name. The play is a coming-of-age tale in which the protagonist, Hermie, recounts the story of a one-sided summer love affair on Nantucket Island.
The musical & movie are both based on the memoirs of American Author Herman Rauncher.
