Digital Decay

While at SUNY Fredonia, I was exposed to a swath of incredibly talented artists whose works profoundly impacted me, but perhaps none more so than those who questioned traditional photographic practices. Artists like Uta Barth, Pete Turner, and Kim Keever became pivotal influences as I sought to find my style.

In my final year at Fredonia, I found myself questioning the boundary between photography and other mediums. I sought to abstract the original images so drastically that the final product bore little resemblance to its source and create a unique style I later called “Digital Decay.”
